Of course! We usually have four scheduled activities per year. We think it’s important to come together having fun, creating good memories and to strengthen the team spirit. What kind of jobs are there at the branch and what are typical tasks?

At FMS Sweden we have four different departments: Sales & Marketing, Procurement, Operation and Finance. We’re working in a process organization with the overall target to reach the market position as the freight forwarding company that provides the most value creating solutions and the best customer service. Our Sales and Marketing team are devoted and genuinely interested in understanding our customers businesses, needs and demands to provide the right solution and service. The majority of the employees are working within operation, where we serve our customers needs related to import/export sea-, air-, land freight, custom clearance and other value-added services. Last but not least our Finance are supporting the business and making sure that the finances are in good order.

We all enjoy working together as a team. We’re focused on and do believe that each one of us is contributing to creating a very good working atmosphere. We also believe that a great working atmosphere and team spirit are corner stones to be committed to provide a great service to our customers.

Katrin Sandstrom | FMS Sweden

2 Questions to Katrin Sandstrom| FMS Sweden

1. What is your job at FMS?

I work mainly with our ocean-import business from India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. My role is to nominate carriers for shipments and coordinate loadings of console-boxes. I also follow the shipments through the start of their journey to Europe and make sure our customers have up to date information of expected arrival etc.

Through my eight years at this company, I have been working close together with our IT and Management with regards to our processes and systems. Always aiming to increase customer value and make our work as efficient as possible. Now as we are part of the FMS Group, it is very natural for me to have the role of a Multiplier.

2. Why do you like working at FMS?

We are a great team working at FMS Sweden and our objective is to add value for our customers. The atmosphere is very friendly, and we all aim to do a good job and have fun in the process. As I’m always trying to find efficient ways of doing things it’s very rewarding for me to be able to work with this in my daily job.
