How many employees work at the branch Hong Kong?

FMS Hong Kong started in 2011 and it was once the Regional office of Asia Pacific. After restructure we currently have 5 employees and Hong Kong is a Regional Finance Controlling Center for China region and maintains a sales office for South China.

Are there any team events at the branch?

We have a birthday party for every employee and we join the China branches for the annual dinner; sometimes we have team bonding activities like hiking, barbeque, picnic, etc.  Company events help promote a strong company culture in which colleagues feel connected to one another and employee happiness is our priority. 

What kind of jobs are there at the branch and what are typical tasks?

We have the Regional Finance team overseeing China finance, HR & administration matter; Business Development team with operation working closely with China branches to develop business, provides excellent customer service and problem-solving solution.

Why is the FMS Hong Kong office a great place to work?

Our office is located in the center of Hong Kong & close to the MTR station. The building is facing the stadium with a panoramic view so it is nice for colleagues to relax and balance one’s wellness among a fast-paced work life. Together we run the business, employees are encouraged to participate actively in the planning and decision-making process that brings staff satisfaction, everyone is empowered so that they feel like they are contributing to the direction of the company and gain a strong sense of ownership and belonging to FMS.

1. What is your job at FMS?

I am the Head of Sales for the South China region.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

I joined FMS in 2015 December by starting some wine logistics shipments to China and Hong Kong. In 2018 & 2019, we led the China team to one of the biggest wine fair in Chengdu, China to meet new customers.  It was great to promote our company services in the event and knowing the F&B industry.  I hope we will take the team to meet more customers in the coming wine expo next year.

3. What makes FMS a great employer for you?

FMS is a global forwarding company that has a very long history in the industry. To me it is like a big family for being part of the team. When preparing quotation or handling operation, our overseas colleagues fully support us by providing their best solution to accommodate our customers’ need.  Their suggestion is very professional and gives me insightful knowledge when communicate with the customers.
