How many employees work at the branch?

There are 15 logistic experts at our branch in Sao Paulo.

Are there any staff events at the branch?

Several times a year we organize different team-building activities.

What kind of jobs are there at he branch and what are typical tasks?

Our core business is Container Exports from Brasil, 85% of our volume are exports and only 15% imports. The major commodoties we handle include the following: Pulp, Paper, Agri business and Recycling.

Seafreight, overland and crossdocking operations: These are our main business activites. The typical tasks involve close contact with customers, carriers, truckers, terminals and customs brokers to coordinate the operations. Moreover it is important to accomplish deadlines and to document all issue related to the file maintaining seastep coorectly updated with proper costs and revenue to achieve a smooth operation.

Pricing & Sales: Close contact with our suppliers, customers and other offices/agents is very important here. It requires sharp negotiation skills to make sure that FMS is best placed with best rates on the market. The aim is of course to maximize our margins. It is also important to obtain new customers and new business. Besides that we are looking for new projects and opportunities in cargo now.

Finance & Accounting: The typical tasks involve the accurate reviewing and approving invoices for payment and managing collection from customers. Moreover the tasks involve maintaining a clean and up to date accounting, caring for proper treatment of taxes and all other compliance rules & regulations.

Hypercare/Process management: We constantly measure our processes and accuracy of data quality before entering the systems (Seastep/Navision). In doing so we want to ensure transparency of our numbers and to avoid issues on payments/collection with wrong invoices. The aim is to gain adjusted figures and customer satisfication. 

Human Resources: We take care of  our people by doing one to one sessions, feedback and expectations management, trainnings, clear processes and teambuilding activities. This year we´re going to have workshops in order to get the staff more used to target settings, focusing individual performance achievements and individual target setting for next year.

We have a great atmosphere here in Sao Paulo, challenging but fun. We´re a small team but very engaged and passionate. Given our small size people employees can have easier access to different areas of the business and have the chance to contact with different complexities.
