FMS UK Colleagues
How many employees work at the branch?

We have 14 of us here. Although this is a small number, it enables us to communicate and interact with each other personally on a daily basis. This has resulted in a strong team and a comfortable/friendly working environment.

Are there any staff events at the branch?

Yes there are! These are usually biannual; Summer time and Christmas. In the Summer, we have enjoyed the likes of Horse/Motor Racing, 1940's / 50's period costume, attended music festivals and held BBQ's. At Christmas time we usually like to celebrate the festivities with a traditional meal, these are held at various venues. This year we will be attending the Great Yarmouth Grovenor Casino!Yes there are! These are usually biannual; Summer time and Christmas. What kind of jobs are there at the branch and what are typical tasks?

Aside from my department in Accounts and Administration, we have teams managing Import, Export, Inland and Warehousing flows. Here in Accounts, we have the important task of managing the cash flow and keeping our suppliers happy by abiding with strict payment terms. Support functions tend to not get as much recognition as those generating business, however we are a very important piece of the puzzle. Paid Suppliers are happy suppliers! Overall, we all work together to ensure our emphasis is always on customer service and value.

Why is FMS Suffolk office a great place to work?

The building itself is beautiful. The decor is light, modern and very welcoming. This makes for a very pleasant place of work. The office is also open plan, which encourages a more engaged feel between employees and a great atmosphere all round.
