HOW MANY EMPLOYEES WORK AT THE BRANCH?

There are 10 colleagues in our Bangkok, Thailand office. Our newest member will join the company after the middle of December 2017.

ARE THERE ANY STAFF EVENTS AT THE BRANCH?

In addition to quarterly team dinner, we have annual charity event; such as, visiting Orphanage to donate food, learning materials, and etc. This activity might not make our business grow but it will help our employees grow as human beings and be happy. Happy employees = Happy Customers

WHAT KIND OF JOBS ARE THERE AT THE BRANCH AND WHAT ARE TYPICAL TASKS?

We mainly focus on Sea Freight (Import & Export), Air freight, Domestic & Cross-border transportation, Warehousing, and Custom Clearance. You trade, We deliver!

WHY IS THE FMS BANGKOK, Thailand OFFICE A GREAT PLACE TO WORK?

Our office is located near the CBD area (10-Minutes from Sathorn Road) and closed to Bangkok Port (popularly known as Khlong Toei Port which operated by Port Authority of Thailand). The office is perfectly connected to the public transport system and highways. Our office building is also opposite to Central Rama 3 Department Store, one of leading department stores in Thailand and closed to Buddhist temples. After office hours, employees can enjoy work-life balance by visiting department stores or meditating for clearing their mind.

1. WHAT IS YOUR JOB AT FMS THAILAND?

I am the Procurement/Pricing Manager Ocean | Air | Land, very tuff negotiator always trying to get the best deal regardless of the volume. Keeping good & healthy relations with the carriers and customers, delivering nothing less than the best...!!! At the same time I try to tap Indian community, traders, merchants and other business man who we can work and grow based in Bangkok, Thailand.

2. HOW WAS YOUR PROFFESIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT FMS?

Just completed one year with FMS Thailand Limited, I am coming from a Paper Trading background working in Singapore for 9 years. To move to Bangkok, Thailand and join Fr.Meyer's Sohn Thailand Limited a freight forwarding company was like taking 2 challenges in one go, in regards to work, culture, new people, new language. The ride was not less than a roller coaster but that's the fun of life and I love challenges. In one year I would say I have learned a lot and still long way to go to learn and grow with the company...!!!

3. WHAT MAKES FMS A GREAT EMPLOYER FOR YOU?

As FMS is a family owned company with a history of 120 years, with great working ethics, it's a complete honor to be a part of this wonderful organization. It's the personal touch and warmth which you get from the Principles | Superiors | Team mates, it makes working fun and enjoyable. Not only that your work is acknowledged, good and bad both, which helps every individual to know there strength and weakness.
