Train concept Warsteiner

Read more about our exclusive coordination of capacities on the Warsteiner brewery train system.

With five weekly departures to Hamburg (Monday - Friday), the Warstein Terminal is the climate-friendly answer to the transport problems of the region between Dortmund/Kassel and Bielefeld/Frankfurt.

Delayed due to waiting times at the depot? Queues on the A1 or A2? Shortage of drivers and rising toll costs? We can reduce the risks to your supply chain. Fr. Meyer's Sohn has been exclusively marketing capacity on the Warsteiner Brewery train system since October 2017. Together with our partners WLE (Westfälische Landeseisenbahn GmbH) and EKB Container Logistik GmbH, we have succeeded in stabilizing the link to Hamburg.

Problems with external factors such as traffic density, driver shortage, overcrowded nearby combi-terminals, and rising demands for a greener supply chain? Talk to us about alternative concepts involving rail. While long distance truck transport faces ever increasing challenges, we offer an economically attractive and reliable alternative using an ecofriendly mode of transport. We can offer you at least ten trucks stationed permanently on site, with the latest location technology, which can be stocked up flexibly at any time. We can also offer nighttime provisions to optimize the use of ramps and personnel.

The terminal has a fully automated crane track, a reach stacker, space for around 430 containers, and its own e-shunter. Its connection to the WLE rail network guarantees a reliable and flexible service. The terminal itself works in 24 hour operation.

  • 76 TEU per direction and departure
