How many employees work at the branch?

Our branch in Bremen currently consists of a dedicated team of 20 employees, including three trainees. Together, with experience, expertise, and fresh new talent, we ensure that our customers always receive the best possible service.

Are there any staff events at the branch?

Every year, our Bremen branch organizes both a festive Christmas party and a sociable summer barbecue, where the entire team comes together and strengthens our sense of unity. In addition, we are always open to further events and activities that promote team spirit and continue to build our team mentality.

What kind of jobs are there at the branch and what are typical tasks?

At our Bremen office, we focus in global ocean freight and rail transport between China and Europe. Our Customer Service teams manage both export and import operations, taking care of every step from A to Z. This includes preparing quotations, handling bookings, coordinating shipments, and providing proactive updates. We also manage all documentation and customs formalities, as well as invoicing and after-sales support. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to personalized service.

Why is the FMS Bremen office a great place to work?

Our team is very balanced, not only in terms of age and gender, but also in nationalities. We enjoy spending time together, not just in the office, but also through after-work activities. We have recently moved to a nice new office, where we offer our employees a great working environment. The office building has a lot of history and is located very close to the city center.

3 questions to Saniye Bicakci-Cam | FMS Bremen

1. What is your job at FMS? 

I manage our export agents business in the general cargo sector. We support both the FMS network worldwide and the external agents network. In addition to handling daily orders from A to Z, which includes pricing, I also distribute tasks within the team. I see my main responsibility as ensuring good team chemistry and maintaining a high standard of quality in order processing.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

I have now been working for FMS for over 12 years. I started my apprenticeship at FMS Hamburg in 2013 and subsequently worked in the General Cargo Export department. In 2018, I was appointed team leader. In 2019, I moved to Bremen, where I am now also working as a team leader for FMS Bremen.

3. What makes FMS a great employer for you?

With almost 90 years of company history, FMS Bremen is a traditional office, yet still innovative and dynamic. FMS places great value on respectful, collegial cooperation and offers employees the opportunity to develop further in a global environment. What I particularly appreciate is the open communication, the flat hierarchies, and the diverse career and training opportunities. I am glad to be part of the large FMS family.
