How many employees work at FMS Madrid?

Currently, there are four employees in Madrid. Our multidisciplinary team includes sales and customer service for overland, air, and sea transport.
Our team can support you throughout the entire logistics process. We have created a very pleasant working environment, with open communication, collaboration, and mutual support.

Are there any staff events at the branch?

Absolutely! We sign up for everything! We enjoy networking events and having fun together with meals and excursions. It's always a good time to bring food to the office and share lunchtime together. Since 2023, we have been participating in "El Cocido", an annual logistics party held in Madrid, where all the logistics professionals in the capital of Spain gather to have a good time and share experiences in a relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you there.

What kind of jobs are there and what are typical tasks?

The Madrid office has grown in recent years. It started its new journey more than 5 years ago with two salespeople. Nowadays, the Customer Service department is the one that has grown the most. We work every day to improve our services to our clients. That's why we are implementing a multiplier assistant in each office to control the quality of data in each shipment and each file.

FMS Madrid is a remarkable place to work thanks to the people who are part of the team. From the beginning, considerable effort has been invested in creating a positive working atmosphere and a unique daily work dynamic. One of FMS Madrid's priorities is helping each team member balance their personal and professional lives, which strengthens their commitment to the company. In addition, our office is located in one of the best areas of Madrid.

1. What is your role at FMS Madrid?

Currently, my main role is business development, while also supporting the Customer Service department thanks to my previous experience in that area. I strive to maintain strong connections and empathy with customers, suppliers, and colleagues to deliver the best possible service. Effective coordination between departments is essential to ensure smooth operations. When both sides understand each other and work as a team, the outcome is positive—and customers notice.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

Over the past five years, I’ve grown through diverse roles that have shaped my expertise. I started as a Maritime Customer Service Operator, and as our team expanded, I stepped into the role of Team Leader. My time as a Multiplier gave me deep insight into our systems and processes, fueling my passion for continuous improvement. In an industry that never stands still, I embrace learning every day. Now, I’m excited to have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Madrid office.

3. Why do you like working at FMS?

The best part of working at FMS is the strong sense of family that exists both within our local offices and across branches. Even though we don’t see each other often, we always feel connected. Every year in Spain, we come together for a Christmas dinner in a different city, and it’s always a truly special experience! I also value being part of a company that grows and allows you to grow with it. Here in Madrid, team spirit is exceptional—we genuinely support each other in everything we do.


Vanesa Romero | FMS Madrid

3 Questions to Vanesa Romero | FMS Madrid

1. What is your job at FMS Madrid?

I am part of the Customer Service team. My main role is to manage the shipments of our clients from the moment they accept the quote from the sales department. I organize the loads and work with carriers and shipping companies to ensure that the entire shipment process runs smoothly and successfully. In addition, I am now part of the Multipliers team. We work together to ensure that the data we input into our systems is of high quality, so that in the future we can offer our clients better services regarding their shipments.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

I started my journey at Fr. Meyer's Sohn in September 2018. I returned to Spain after 3 years working and studying in London. The Madrid office welcomed me with open arms, as they were starting a new growth project for the office. I believed in the project and little by little, we have doubled the staff since we started. I have taken on new challenges during this time, taking charge of the office's accounting and improving and optimizing processes. Now, I am part of a new project on the Multiplier team where we try to gather quality data for each shipment, helping all team members learn to use the company's computer tools.

3. Why do you like working at FMS?

From the management team to the branch managers, they are approachable people with whom you can talk about any topic, both professional and personal. They care about everyone as a team and as individuals, and they help you in whatever you need. You truly feel like you are in a big family where everyone matters.
