“FMS Academy” – Traineeship at FMS Brazil

Finding good professionals in the market is not an easy task. It takes time, resources and always bears the risk of hiring people who do not match with Fr. Meyer’s Sohn values and culture. Based on that, FMS Brazil has created the "FMS Academy", a structured Internship Program with the aim to develop future professionals within FMS.

FMS Brazil selects students who are willing to learn and work in teams and are looking for a challenge. In the first round more than 40 students applied; in the end 3 trainees were selected and started their journey at FMS. Over the course the participants receive different kind of trainings like FMS values and processes within the company to develop their skills.

The trainees start by learning the basics about the freight forwarding business and gradually walk through the entire operational process. A follow up section between the trainees and their supervisor each week is held to assure comprehension and discuss questions. During their development period, the trainees rotate between departments to get an expanded vision about our services and along this process we aim to discover the most suitable area to each one.

The second year focuses on specialization, according to the personal profile and the company's needs; the participants will be allocated in one of the departments and start a regular routine in a designated place.

When the trainees conclude the FMS Academy training after 2 years they are able to work as professionals in the freight forwarding business. The main goal of the FMS academy is to retain the professionals yielding good results, who have entangled with the company's processes way of working.

We believe that this program will produce a good breed of future talents at Fr Meyer's Sohn.
