Project: "JuStIn"

Because of their dimensions, large paper rolls can no longer be loaded in a standing position in the container. Instead they have to be laid down diagonally to save space. The JuStIn system allows safe loading of jumbo rolls in containers at considerably lower cost

The Task:

Paper rolls are being manufactured with increasingly greater width and diameter. This poses new challenges when transporting jumbo rolls for loading in containers, especially in securing cargo.

The Solution:

Fr. Meyer's Sohn (FMS) has partnered with INTAKT to develop a system for transporting jumbo rolls, as no existing loading system were satisfactory for the loader, shipper or consignee.

The Result:

FMS and INTAKT have developed a revolutionary system that holds the rolls securely in place, when they are diagonally laid down, using mainly airbags and reusable ratchet straps. At unloading the air is released from the airbags in seconds using a special adapter. The special airbags and belts are reusable.

FMS and INTAKT are making tailored modifications for their customers. The system was tested and certified by DEKRA (an independent test organization). JuStIn adheres with industry safety rules, including the precaution that personnel are never required to be under the roll during loading or unloading.

The JuStIn system requires brief instruction, but then is easy to use.
