Fr. Meyer’s Sohn Expands Presence in Latin America with New Office in Bogotá, Colombia

Fr. Meyer’s Sohn (FMS), the international freight forwarding and logistics company, continues its strategic growth across Latin America with the opening of a new office in Bogotá, Colombia. Following the recent launch of its operations in Peru, this move further strengthens FMS’s regional footprint and underscores the importance of Latin America in the company’s global development strategy.

"Colombia is a key market in the region, with significant potential for growth and development," says Heiko Voigt, Managing Director at Fr. Meyer’s Sohn."Alongside our existing operations in Chile, Brazil, Peru, Guatemala and Mexico, this new office allows us to deepen our service offering and provide even greater value to our customers across Central and South America – a region that is becoming increasingly vital on the global stage."

Trond Prestroenning, Regional CEO Americas at FMS, adds: "Opening our own office in Colombia marks a major milestone in our Latin American growth initiative. Bogotá is a vibrant and strategically important logistics hub, and having a direct presence here ensures we can be closer to our customers and respond more effectively to their needs. We’re proud to raise another FMS flag in the Americas and excited about the opportunities ahead."

With the expansion into Colombia, Fr. Meyer’s Sohn continues to enhance its global network and local expertise. The new office will offer comprehensive freight forwarding and supply chain services tailored to the Colombian market, while seamlessly integrating with FMS’s international capabilities.
