How many employees work at the branch?

We are six employees at the branch in Izmir. We are really young team and our age average is 29 years if we leave out the traniees.

Are there any staff events at the branch?

Of course! We love to celebrate special days and events. Every Friday we have lunch together with the whole team and we celebrate the "Employee of the month" on a regular basis. In addition to that we have motivation work-shops, celebrate our business anniversaries and each birthday of the employees. Furthermore, every year we organize a joint FMS Turkey team weekend for motivation and exchange.

What kind of jobs are there at the branch and what are typical tasks?

We organize the import and export of cargo, especially in the field of sea fright. Our business developers and the sales department  The Business Development & Sales departments acquire new customers to increase our profit. Our operational staff arrange everything related to import and export, from operational business transactions to documentation.

Why is the FMS Izmir office a great place to work?

Izmir is the best city in Turkey where you can find peace, welfare & fun. Ou office is located 5 minutes walking distance from the coast and at lunch time you can take your coffee and take a short walk by the sea. We are also only half an hour away from many holiday destinations. This gives us the opportunity to visit one of the resors after work can go back to work the next day. The enjoyable and friendly working environment, good working hours, our central office and the nice team mates are further advantages.

. What is your job at FMS?

I am business development manager and vertical manager of agricultural and food industry. The sales executives and I try to expand our customer profiles, income, sales and profits. Besides new shipments, I also try to focus and increase the number of agricultural and food industry shipments with help of our FMS Turkey team. Pricing & shipment organizations for FMS branches and agents are under our responsibility too.

2. How was your professional development at FMS?

I've been working for FMS Izmir for 5 years. I started at FMS after my graduation from university and worked in the sales department and learned all documentation and operation processes. After 4 years, I positioned as business development manager. Last year I was promoted and now I am the Vertical Manager of the Agricultural and Food industry.

3. What makes FMS a great employer for you?

FMS is a global forwarding company, with great teams and many training opportunities for employees, such as the Go Global program, where you can work abroad in another office for three month.
